Qvr Client For Mac

I've been using QVR for years now, but it's dated and limited interface drive me crazy. There is a beta for the next version of client and server. QVR Pro, QNAP’s brand-new surveillance application, introduces the concept of “dedicated storage space” to ensure that the storage is fully reserved for QVR Pro and the system performance will not be impacted by other applications on NAS. New to SS on the Qnap. Although the program offers most of what I need it really can't stack up against Synology's version. I have a mix of windows and mac machines. With the QVR client for mac I am unable to view recordings.

Clicking the play back button brings me to the camera view recording section but it shows no recordings. Works fine under Windows. Also, when I view live stream, even with all the boxes unchecked under settings, the cameras still flash when it records. Is this program still in beta? That I could understand. Anyone have solutions to the above problems?

The SS is almost useless and QVR won't playback alarm recordings, bugs in the software everywhere. At least you get a client, useless or otherwise. QNAP still does not provide a Linux client at all. I've been a QNAP Customer since 2008, and I still can't use Surveillance Station at all, due to a complete lack of Linux support. (Which is pretty ironic, when you realize that Surveillance Station itself is Linux based).

I dumped Windows completely in 2011 after playing with the Windows 8 Developers Preview. I continue to support Windows for my Windows customers, but I refuse to run it on my hardware here. I love Windows, I hope Microsoft continues to sell it.

It pays my rent. Generalzog wrote:Same here (new to SS and same problems with QVR client). OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 running QVR Client 2.0.140724. Live playback works and that's it. I can not speak for QVR running under OS X Yosemite, but I have tested QVR on 10.9.x.

As you - Live viewing works, whereas there are problems or flakiness with Playback. Try the following: ( This is not a solution, only a possible work around till QNAP fixes QVR). 1) Select a camera you are not interested in looking at. 2) In lower left, click on calendar. New window will open, select a date.

If you can select time. (It will not let me select time). At this point QVR will not show any recorded events (segments of red in bottom middle playback bar).

3) Select camera you are interested in looking at When I do this under OS Mavericks, QVR will start showing recorded events. You might have to repeat Steps 1, 2, & 3. I have seen first time through fail for some reason. Hope this helps. QNAP's QVR Playback Menus need some serious work. The menus are flaky or broken or counter intuitive at best.

Morning or evening All, I've setup my Vcam app on my iPhone (ios8) and surveillance Station on NAS drive. I've also installed the QVR client on my MAc (Version OSX 10.8.5) Every time I run the QVR client via surveillance I receive an error message: OVR Client cannot be opened because of a problem Check with the developer to make sure QVR client works with this version of OSX. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OSX. I seem to have the correct version of OSX and installed the only available QVR client via iTunes.

Can anyone help? Problem lies at feet of QNAP. All I can tell you is you are not alone. QNAP's QVR Client will not run under 10.8.5.

Despite what QNAP's QVR storefront on Apple's App Store says. I have tried QVR Client on two different Macs running 10.8.5. Along with de-installing, re-downloaindg, and re-installing. Please Report problem to QNAP! QNAP seems to think I am the only person having the problem, despite pointing QNAP to Apple's reviews which show four others can't get QVR Client to run under 10.8. BTW: Forget upgrading to 10.9 unless you have already purchased or downloaded 10.9.

For some reason Apple has pulled 10.9 (Mavericks). Could anybody help to change it. Head over to the QNAP Customer Service - I can't find a language selection option in the current QVR Client for Mac. It seems to follow the OS X language set - but not default or fall-back to English if there is no match.file a ticket, registration required.
